EastEnders legend Steve McFadden is mobbed by female fans at club appearance in Brighton

The legendary EastEnders actor was greeted by a gaggle of admirers as he did a meet-and-greet at a nightclub.

Steve, 59, has been a long-running part of the hit BBC soap since 1990 and has racked up a lot of fans along the way.

He's famously played Phil Mitchell – one half of the iconic Mitchell brothers – for almost 30 years

And from the looks of the actor cuddling up to a throng of young admirers his character still appeals to many generations.

Steve posed for snaps with fans who had flocked to catch a glimpse of him at Brighton's Shoosh nightclub.

The father-of-five dressed smartly for the occasion in a pair of black trews, a crisp white shirt and a navy zip-up jacket that wouldn't look out of place on his 'Enders character.

The actor took to the stage with a mic in his hand to address the enthusiastic crowd who had gathered there for him.

But it didn't take him long to get up close and personal with the club-goers – happily smiling for selfies and wrapping his arms around fans during the personal appearance.

And he looked to be having the time of his life.

His meet-and-greet comes after it was revealed earlier this year that fans can now nab a selfie with the star for just £2.

Steve previously charged £5 to get fans through the door at nightclubs but at an event at Fleet's MooMoo in June the going rate was lowered.

In EastEnders Steve is claimed to command a salary of £310,000 a year.

Although his paycheck is eye-watering for some, it’s reported to be £100,000 less than top-dog Danny Dyer.

Steve is no stranger to the club circuit and has been pictured on many occasions hugging excited fans, desperate to get a snap with the Albert Square legend.
