EastEnders spoilers: Halfway returns with a shock secret that leaves Whitney Carter reeling
The loved up pair have been dating via Skype since Halfway, played by Tony Clay in the BBC soap, left the Square earlier this year so Whitney, Shona McGarty, is beyond delighted by his surprise arrival.
But as they celebrate with Mick and the rest of the Carters in the Vic, it soon becomes obvious that Halfway is injured.
Halfway doesn’t want to make a fuss and makes up a typically clumsy story about what happened – but is he telling the truth?
Still grateful to Halfway for helping them save the Vic from Irish gangster Aidan Maguire, Mick and Linda offer him Shirley’s room to stay in and then Mick encourages them to, ahem, spend some time together.
Anyone else find that a bit odd?
As Whitney pulls out all her seductive moves to no avail, she wonders why Halfway isn’t being his usual self and decides to give him some alone time.
But what’s he hiding?
A frustrated Whitney tries again later but is shocked when he reveals to her what’s going on. But there seems to be more to it.
Eventually Halfway confesses the full truth to Whitney who’s left shocked.
Later in the week Halfway is left feeling embarrassed by the attention Whit and the Carters are showering on him and his taken aback when he learns they’re planning a party with a surprise guest.
