EastEnders spoilers tease Martin and Ruby split as they face fresh heartache

EastEnders couple Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton) and Martin Fowler (James Bye) are faced with more martial issues next week.

Martin goes out drinking with Zack Hudson and the unlikely friends end up having one too may beverages on the lads' night out.

Ruby’s unimpressed with Martin’s hangover and ends up having to go to a doctor’s appointment by herself.

Meanwhile, Martin tells his former mother-in-law Jean Slater that he’s losing Ruby and without her the kids have no home.

Jean implores Ruby to show Lily some love but will the businesswomen listen?

Ruby returns from the consultant, telling Martin she needs his support and he vows to be by her side.

Things haven't been hunky dory between Ruby and Martin ever since they got married.

Martin was furious to find hunky newcomer Zack flirting with his wife during Monday's episode of the BBC One soap.

In upcoming scenes, Zack flirtatiously asks Ruby if they’ll be allowed to promote Sharon Watts' (Letitia Dean) gym at Ruby’s club, while Martin looks on – clearly annoyed by the risky move.

Later, in the club, Sharon and Ruby swap details for the launch event while Zack flirts with Ruby.

After seeing the potential romance unfold, Martin's young step-daughter Lily asks Ruby if she fancies Zack.

An alarmed Ruby warns Lily to stay out of her business.

Back at home, Lily gets her own back by telling Martin that while he was away for Kush's funeral, Ruby spent lots of time with Zack – and that he even spent the night – leaving Martin reeling.

Afterwards, Sharon tells her younger brother Zack that he has to apologise to Martin, but what will Ruby make of the accusation?

Lily has had it in for her stepmother ever since she sent her mum Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) down for a crime she didn’t commit.

The mischievous schoolgirl started to act out following Stacey’s exit as she was forced to stay under Ruby’s roof.

As Lily’s bad behaviour escalated, Ruby was fuming when she found the teenager cutting up her late mother’s wedding dress.

Fans know that Ruby wrongly accused Stacey of pushing her down the stairs and causing her miscarriage back in April.

Martin eventually reported Stacey to the police after encouragement from Ruby.

Stacey’s exit storyline facilitated actress Lacey Turner’s maternity leave after she announced she was pregnant with her second child.
