Emmerdale star Lawrence Robb reveals more 50th anniversary details
As the summer continues, it’s an exciting time for Emmerdale cast and crew as they are gearing up to film episodes to coincide with their 50th anniversary.
With stars including Dominic Brunt, Nicola Wheeler and Jeff Hordley all teasing an incredible autumn for Emmerdale, we can add Lawrence Robb to our list of cast members who have given us hints on what to expect.
Having played Mackenzie Boyd for over a year now, Lawrence has settled in well to the Emmerdale family and is very much looking forward to being a part of the big celebrations.
Currently in the middle of a storyline that sees Mack deal with the huge news Charity (Emma Atkins) is pregnant with his baby, there’s a lot to come for the character, as Lawrence Robb told us recently:
‘I’ve definitely been busier in the last month and gently coming back into it, which is great. I think everyone is getting busier in preparation for the 50th I think everyone is going to have a little slice of the pie.’
‘Everyone’s going to be involved in some format on the 50th so I think everyone’s getting a wee bit more busy. There’s definitely a lot of gritty stuff coming up about Charity’s pregnancy and how Mack deals with it. So, he is busying up, in a word.’
Another person who’s dropped some hints about the anniversary is producer Laura Shaw, who said:
‘We’re busy planning the Autumn birthday! We are all really giddy about it and excited to give every character a little bit of limelight, there’s definitely going to be something for everyone there.’
With just a few months to go, it’s going to be epic!
