Emmerdale’s Moira gets revenge on Charity in showdown after Mack exit heartbreak

Emmerdale favourite Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) is left in danger next week as Moira Barton (Natalie J. Robb).

In a playful attempt to get over Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) , Charity pretends to flirt with the drayman but, unbeknownst to her, a fuming Moria watches her with disdain.

Charity is clearly still upset about Mack and demands his sister speak with him but she is crushed when Moira blames her for Mack’s departure and refuses to give her a second chance.

Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) tells Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) about the near kiss with Charity and he lets slip to Moira.

Convinced there actually was a kiss, Moira seethes at Charity. Later that day, Moira suggests driving Charity to see Mack so the two can talk.

Delighted by the offer, Charity accepts, utterly oblivious Moira has a vengeful scheme in mind and soon to avenge her brother, Moira abandons Charity in the middle of nowhere without her purse or phone, on the side of a road.

Emmerdale aired an emotional departure for Mack last week.

He was struggling with where he stands with Charity after mistakenly adding fuel to the fire in her feud with family member Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter).

Mack is also unaware that Charity also nearly kissed her ex-partner Vanessa.

Vanessa has since backed away from any reconciliation with Charity, and instead she encouraged both Mack and Charity to give their relationship another shot at working out.

Charity made it clear she was willing to drop Mackenzie, leading Vanessa to point out that this was always her former partner's problem.

At that very moment, Mack was planning a "big, grand gesture" to prove to Charity how much she really does mean to him.

He surprised Charity with news that he'd cloned her keys and would be moving in.

With Dan and new arrival Mary watching on, Mack was deflated to see how stand-offish Charity was being about the prospect of him moving in.

Mack revealed he'd been offered taxi work with a mate in Glasgow, since he'd have nothing keeping him in Emmerdale if he and Charity are "done".

Charity doubted Mack would actually leave, but Moira found him packing.

He explained to his sister that he'd given Charity a chance to commit, and since she wouldn't, he would not be waiting around.

Mack later drove past Charity on his way out of the village, leaving her gobsmacked.

Fans will have to wait and see if Mack will return to the village.

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV at 7.30pm
