Emmerdale’s Nate Robinson prison exit fears after brutal hit and run twist

Emmerdale's Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) is set to make a life-changing decision in upcoming scenes.

Nate is shocked when he discovers the extent of Belle Dingle's (Eden Taylor-Draper) history with schizophrenia and realises the gravity of the situation.

When the Dingles realise Jamie Tate (Alexander Lincoln) has cottoned on to their plan, their situation seems hopeless until Nate offers to take the rap for Moria Dingle's (Natalie J. Robb) hit and run in an effort to keep Belle out of harm’s way.

Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) can’t help admiring his son, but the pair are unaware that Tracy Shankley (Amy Walsh) is listening.

Nate's pregnant girlfriend Tracy is livid to discover Nate’s thinking of going to prison for Belle, and her reaction leaves him torn over what to do.

Arriving at the police station with Cain, Nate struggles to muster the courage to enter the station and confess to the hit and run.

Moira was unknowingly run over by Jamie Tate in August, who, at the time, was desperately searching for his estranged with wife Andrea (Anna Nightingale).

Jamie soon confessed the crime to his true love Belle, with his mother Kim Tate (Claire King) also working out that it was him who ran over Moira after seeing the damage and blood on his car.

Viewers have seen Belle report her former lover Jamie to the police as the culprit of the hit and run, but it backfired when he claimed she was the driver.

Jamie was broken-hearted when he found out Belle was just using him to get evidence to frame him for the hit and run.

Emmerdale spoilers have revealed that Belle's mental health will take a turn for the worst next week.

Realising she’s behind on her medication Sam encourages Belle to take her pills, but the voice of Lisa tells her not to and Belle’s obedient so doesn’t.

The Dingle daughter will begin to hear voices as she becomes overwhelmed with life in the Dales, and the fall-out from her affair with Jamie.

As such, she turns to the voices as a way to cope, with late mum Lisa among them. But things take a dangerous turn when ‘Lisa’ encourages her to get revenge on Jamie’s ex-girlfriend, Andrea.

Will Nate take the blame for the hit and run and save Belle from going to jail?

Emmerdale airs weekdays on ITV at 7pm
