Everything you need to know about the X Factor from acts to duets

The X Factor is coming to an end. Scarlett Lee, Anthony Russell and Dalton Harris will all be fighting for the same prize – a recording contract with Simon Cowell’s Syco Entertainment and will have to prove themselves one last time this weekend to win over the public vote.

This series has been one of the most controversial so far with a completely new judging panel and some shocking eliminations. Married celeb couple Robbie Williams and Ayda Field made their debut as judges alongside Louis Tomlinson. Shan and Misunderstood were early favourites to win but were both eliminated and underdogs Dalton and Anthony have never been a victim of the sing off.

Last year, Rak-Su were crowned the 2017 winners after the public fell in love with their original songs and dance routines – but who will be crowned the winner of 2018? We have all the details you need to know for the X Factor 2018 final this weekend.

When is the final?

The live final is on ITV on Saturday, December 1 from 7:30pm until 9:30pm and the results show is Sunday, December 2 from 7:30pm until 9pm. It takes place at the SSE Arena, Wembley.

Who is in the final?

Ayda and Robbie Williams have no acts in the final so the battle is on with Simon Cowell and Louis Tomlinson both fighting for their act to be crowned the winner.

Scarlett Lee, 21 from Surrey

Scarlett first auditioned last year but failed to make it past the Six Chair Challenge when Sharon Osborne didn’t give her a seat. She returned this year and in Simon’s group she has soared all the way to the final.

Anthony Russell, 28 from Liverpool

Anthony first auditioned in 2007 when Dannii Minogue and Sharon Osbourne were judges. He returned last year and wowed the judges but after making it to Judges’ Houses he was forced to quit due to "personal reasons". His mentor, Louis Tomlinson helped him through his recovery and has guided him through his X Factor journey to reach the final.

Dalton Harris, 24 from Jamaica

Dalton is the second finalist in Louis Tomlinson’s Boys category and along with Anthony has never been in the Sunday night sing off. He has impressed the judges week after week with his renditions of Clown and Feeling Good.

Who is performing?

We will see previous X Factor runner-up James Arthur grace the stage along with Anne Marie, Ellie Goulding, George Ezra and Take That.

What are the duets?

In previous years, finalists usually perform alongside a known artist most suited to their music style. We’ve seen huge names including Beyonce and George Michael who both sang with winners Alexandra Burke and Joe McElderry. However, this year the duets have been kept a secret by the production team. So we will have to wait until the show to find out.

Who is favourite to win?

Dalton has been the favourite to win for the last few weeks, but how it goes on the night is anyone’s guess. The bookies still have him as top to take the title. Here are the odds, Click here to place a bet with Paddy Power and here to bet with Betfair.
