First Dates turns into ‘swingers party’ as sisters team up for double date
First Dates returned to our screens on Thursday as Channel 4 aired the second episode of the latest series of the dating show.
Single siblings Claire and Louise from Essex arrived to the restaurant together for moral support.
The sisters later enjoyed drinks with Matthew and Scott, however, there was a bit of confusion over who’s dating who.
Scott said: "This is like a swingers party".
Viewers were left divided over Claire and Louise's decision to go appear on the show together.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: "If the two sisters and two guys all kop off for some kinky foursome, the First Dates taxi man is in for one hell of a tip in this episode."
Another added: "OK…. I think we're about to see a cat fight between sisters…who's about to get the date with Scott?"
A third posted: "Sisters wondering why they are single? Hmmm have you tried going dating on your own ? Very few guys wanna date a girl who comes to a date with her sister unless when they're siamese twins."
While fourth said: "why would you go on a date at the same time and place as your sister."
Love was not in the air for Claire or Louise but Matthew and Scott agreed to meet for a pint as their bromance blossomed during the show.
Elsewhere 60-year-old widow Meryl was on the lookout for someone who can keep up with her when she goes out clubbing.
Andrew, also 60, believed he was the man to keep Meryl on her tops after experiencing a new lease of life since his hip replacement.
First into the restaurant as bubbly student Aryeh, who was on a mission to find someone who isn't put off by his overwhelming personality.
The 22-year-old Londonder told front-of-house Fred Siriek that guys have been put off him in the past because they "can't handle him".
Performing arts Jack later arrived and introduced himself to the camera as a serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer lookalike.
Aryeh and Jack instantly hit it off on their date and chatted about how nervous they both are, as well as their "strong shirt game" and how life is going for them.
Things later took a bizarre turn as Aryeh asked his date if he ever makes "meow" noises. Jack responded with a swift no.
Aryeh then went on to practise his Australian accent loudly in the middle of the restaurants, while swearing and repeating "hello" over and over again.
The episode ended with energetic Aryeh saying how he likes that Jack has a "unique personality" and that he’s "got something to say".
The pair then said they would like to see each other again and their date continued into the evening and were seen sharing a kiss.
First Dates continues on Channel 4 next Wednesday at 10pm
