Flip or Flop's Christina Haack rushes son, Brayden, 6, to hospital for emergency surgery & shares heartbreaking photo

FLIP or Flop's Christina Haack has shared a heartbreaking photo of her son, Brayden, 6, after rushing him to the hospital.

Brayden had to go in for emergency surgery.

Christina had a pretty scary Mother's Day.

In a new photo shared to Instagram, her son, Brayden is sleeping in a hospital bed with wires and IV hooked up to him.

"Scary 12 hours for us parents + step parents. After being admitted to the ER, Brayden had to have an emergency appendectomy as well as removal of Meckel's diverticulum early this morning. Nothing like seeing your child in excruciating pain," she shared.

The Flip or Flop star went on to say that his surgery went well and that he is recovering and in good spirits.

"Very scary day, but we all banned together as a family to get through it. Thank you to the amazing Doctors and nurses who took such incredible care of our boy," he ended the post.

According to The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Meckel's Diverticulum is "a small pouch in the wall of the intestine, near the junction of the small and large intestines."

"The pouch is a remnant of tissue from the prenatal development of the digestive system."

CUSTODY BATTLE

All of this comes in the midst of a custody battle with Christina and her ex-husband, Ant Anstead.

He wants full custody of her 2-year-old son, Hudson.

According to People, and confirmed by The Sun, Ant filed for a custody modification on April 28

There was a court hearing in late April, in which Ant shared documents claiming his ex wife created a dangerous environment for Hudson and put him at risk.

He also claimed Christina has spent an average of "9 full days each month" with their son over the last 20 months.

In one previous instance, Ant claimed after his son spent time with his mom, Hudson returned with a bad sunburn that left him crying.

Ant now wants full custody, with Christina getting alternating weekends.

Christina responded to her ex's actions and shared her thoughts with TMZ.

"What Ant is doing deeply saddens me. If this was really about Hudson, as he says, this should have been handled privately with a private judge or mediation, as myself and my attorney have suggested."

"I have had my share of ups and downs but I am a good mom and I love my children with all my heart and I will always protect them," she continued.

NEW SHOW

Her son's health scare comes just months before her new HGTV show premieres.

Christina is best known for her show, Flip or Flop, which she stared in with her ex-husband, Tarek.

Now, she is gearing up to premiere a new show called Christina on the Coast.

It will look at her life in the countryside of Tennessee, after moving into a new vacation home there in 2021, according to People.

Christina on the Coast will also focus on her new life with her husband, Joshua Hall.

The new series set to premiere in late 2022 will have a total of six episodes and will be a docuseries.
