Footage of Cheryl's first days on new TV show The Greatest Dancer leak on Twitter

The first footage of Cheryl in action on new BBC One talent show The Greatest Dancer has emerged online, and it looks like she’s got some serious moves.

In the audience clip, the Girls Aloud singer is seen showing off her fine footwork on stage as the crowd cheers her on.

Cheryl was confirmed as a Dance Captain on Simon Cowell’s new show last week, continuing her talent mentor days from The X Factor.

She’ll be joined by Glee‘s Matthew Morrison and Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Oti Mabuse on the panel.

“I’m so excited to be part of The Greatest Dancer,” Cheryl said. “I’m looking for acts with real passion, who are going to push boundaries and give it their all, no matter what challenges are thrown at them.

“From my own dance background, I know the dedication and commitment dancing takes. I can’t wait to get started.”

The three captains are presiding over the auditions, which will see hopefuls dance a range of styles including ballet, jazz, hip-hop and Bollywood.

They will then have to whittle down the acts that make it through before choosing which ones they want to mentor and take through to the live shows.

“This is such a powerful moment for me,” Matthew added. “My sincere hope is that I can uplift and encourage all the dancers to reach their greatness.”

Alesha Dixon and Jordan Banjo will host The Greatest Dancer, which will air in 2019.
