Former EastEnders star Jonny Labey announces he's engaged to girlfriend Chrissy Brooke

Former EastEnders star Jonny Labey has announced that he’s engaged to his girlfriend Chrissy Brooke.

The actor, who played Paul Coker in the BBC One soap, announced the news on Instagram today (June 29), but confirmed that he had actually popped the question a while ago.

She said YES… a while back! It was obvious from the moment we met, she’s the perfect balance of kind, beautiful and crazy that I’ll love for the rest of my life! Alongside a post of the pair, in which Chrissy was showing off her engagement ring, Jonny said: “She said YES… a while back!

“It was obvious from the moment we met, she’s the perfect balance of kind, beautiful and crazy that I’ll love for the rest of my life! I love you @chrissy_brooke ❤ Here’s to many more years.”

Jonny joined EastEnders in 2015, but his character Paul was killed off a year later in a tragic twist.

He later appeared in new show Dance Dance Dance with Chrissy, and the pair went on to win the competition.

The ITV reality competition saw various famous faces taking on iconic choreography from movies, music videos and musicals – with Jonny and Chrissy impressing judges Ashley Banjo, Timor Steffens and Tina Landon.
