The Great British Bake Off is back for 2021, with Paul Hollywood, Prue Leith, Matt Lucas and Noel Fielding as well as a whole new batch of bakers in the iconic tent, but it's home time already for one of the hopefuls.
Tom is the first baker to be leaving the tent in the dreaded week one position.
The show started with a bang with the judges performing a baking themed rendition of "Achey Breaky Heart", singing about tarts while all quiffed up.
Tom, 24, is a software developer from Kent.
This new group of bakers were put through their paces, with a first challenge to make mini rolls in flavours of their choosing.
Several of the contestants worked on a black forest variety, and there was a dairy-free version too with Freya, the first vegan baker to appear on the show.
There was a few dramas, as George realised he had left his oven door open meaning it didn't heat up properly.
Elsewhere, Noel Fielding spotted his outfit matched Lizzie's, with co-ordinating black and pink smiley faces.
Maggie and Prue were confusing viewers with their similar voices and hairstyles.
For their first ever technical, the bakers were set the task of making a malt loaf and homemade butter.
Prue joked that is was a recipe that bakers under the age of 35 might never have heard of.
Most of the bakers were confused about whether the loaves were baked due to the dark colour.
Amanda came in 12th place for the technical challenge, and the winner for the first one was Maggie (who everyone thought looked like Prue).
The youngest baker Freya, came second in the technical and was thrilled after Prue's comment about under 35s, as she is just 19-years-old.
Paul Hollywood said Amanda was in trouble after the technical, and praised Maggie for her technical.
Prue laughed and said she hoped Maggie went so the lookalike comparisons would stop.
The showstopper called for a gravity defying cake.
There were many awkward moments as the bakers realised their show-stopping bakes didn't quite fit the bill of "anti-gravity."
Many looked decidedly wobbly, with several cakes falling apart as they made their way to the judging table.
Fans were gutted that Tom left.
"Tom was robbed!" insisted one.
"Tom didn't deserve that" said another.
"Protect Tom at all costs" added one viewer.
"I love Tom, and this is not OK" insisted one.
"Tom was robbed, he was so cute" wrote a fan, with crying emojis.
"So sorry Tom, but well done for getting on GBBO in the first place" praised another.
