Guardians of the Galaxy's Dave Bautista says he might get a Drax movie because of DC

Following news that DC is working on yet another Joker movie, this one with Suicide Squad’s Jared Leto, Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista is now game for a standalone Drax movie.

In response to a tweet about about the news of the Joker movie, Bautista wrote: “But on the bright side! Which I usually try to look at… if this can happen then the chances of me getting a Drax movie have got to be astronomically high!

“Like so high that I’m going to stop tweeting and sit by the phone and wait for @MarvelStudios to call! ….any second now!”

And it looks like Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn is also keen, as he replied: “Just tried calling.”

We’re also very fond of Walking Dead star Khary Payton’s reply: “Man, I am all-in for @DaveBautista in a #Drax stand-alone movie.

“It could be 90 minutes of him delivering for @ubereats! I DON’T CARE! Make it happen, @MarvelStudios!! #whyisgamora.”

Meanwhile, Bautista has confirmed he will appear in both Avengers 4 and Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 3. Spoilers below the video if you still haven’t seen Avengers: Infinity War, because…

… this could be tricky considering Drax was last seen disintegrating into a fine powder before disappearing completely at the snap of Thanos’ (Josh Brolin) fingers, alongside all of his Guardians co-stars.

The sole survivors from the crew were Bradley Cooper’s Rocket and Karen Gillan’s Nebula. (Gamora, played by Zoe Saldana supposedly perished earlier in the film).
