Here's Every Single Thing We Know About ‘Emily in Paris’ Season 3 So Far
Emily in Paris came back for a second season in December just in time for another much-needed round of escapism. Once again, viewers got to traipse through France with Emily (Lily Collins) as she navigated her messy love life, dramatic work life, and comically inexplicable Instagram success. (Plus, we got to take in the hats. So many hats.) But once the new season dropped all at once on Netflix, there were instant questions about if there would be another. Thankfully, the Netflix gods blessed us all with amazing news not too long after the season 2 premiere: There is definitely going to be more seasons of the show.
We’re counting down the days and popping bottles of Champére (it is meant to be sprayed, after all) until the new seasons are available, so to pass the time we gathered all the possible intel there is on what’s to come in Emily in Paris. Check it out below.
Netflix revealed a big surprise for its season 3 announcement.
On January 10, Netflix revealed that Emily in Paris is officially coming back for a third season! Taking a page out of Emily’s book, the streamer revealed the news on the official Emily in Paris IG page. And that’s not all! The show was also renewed for a fourth season, which means we don’t have to hold our breath when it comes to even more episodes (at least for now).

Lily Collins was hopeful.
In August when Emily in Paris wrapped filming for season 2, Lily posted some photos from her time in Paris on Instagram along with a caption that expressed her hopes for a third season.
“I’m leaving here filled with so many amazing memories, special moments with my family, endless appreciation to our incredible dedicated and talented crew, and another season officially wrapped! Very excited to share it with you all soon,” she wrote. “We’re heading home but keeping a little piece of us here until the next time….”
See? “Until next time….”
Lily also mentioned the idea of a third season in a recent interview with Glamour. “I really hope people laugh and smile and get to have the same feelings of escapism and fun that they did the first season,” she said. “I hope viewers find more of themselves in different characters and feel seen and represented in the show. And I hope that we get a season 3 because I really hope we get to come back and do this again.”
There’s already been cast changes.
Lucien Laviscount, who played Alfie in season 2, was officially brought on as a series regular for season 3, according to Deadline. ICYMI, Alfie was Emily’s sexy lil London-born love interest this past season, so hopefully this means we’ll see how their ‘ship pans out.

There’s a lot more to explore.
Series creator Darren Star has also not confirmed a third season, but his interviews about season 2 show how much more there is for the show to explore. “Emily will embrace the city a little bit more,” he told Variety. “When she got there, she got a bit of a free pass in the beginning and I don’t think it will be quite as easy for her in second season. I think she will be more assimilated, in terms of living in Paris and stepping up to the challenges of learning the language.”
There are also other characters to look into. “We wanted all the other characters in the show to have bigger storylines and hired incredible actors as new characters,” Lily told Entertainment Weekly. For instance, Mindy (Ashley Park) is shown in season 2 embarking on her singing career.
But regardless of what happens on the show plot-wise, fans will surely want the show to come back once again for the gorgeous locations, over-the-top fashion, and simply how easy it is to watch. Does it really make sense that Emily’s company would leave her in Paris so long? Who cares? Maybe in season 7, she takes over the business.
