Hollyoaks airs Darcy Wilde's exit after Esther Bloom's fate is revealed

Hollyoaks aired Darcy Wilde’s final scenes on E4 tonight (April 25) as she fled the village in the wake of Esther Bloom’s spiking tragedy.

The first look episode saw Esther down the spiked drink Darcy had intended for Jack Osborne – after the schemer had a change of heart about harming her new husband.

Darcy had taken the shock action upon learning that Jack was now fit enough for a heart bypass, throwing her plans to fleece him into disarray.

Unsurprisingly, Darcy’s devious actions left Esther’s life hanging in the balance when she collapsed whilst home alone at the Osbornes’.

Nancy and Darren were later horrified to find a lifeless Esther unconscious on the floor and immediately rushed her to hospital, where the family faced an anxious wait to see if she’d pull through.

Realising what she’d done, Darcy knew that she couldn’t stay in the village any longer and turned back to her ex-partner Adam Donovan for help in escaping.

When Adam refused to help her – and even exposed her true colours to the Osbornes – it really did seem that Darcy was about to get her comeuppance. Unfortunately, a twist in the closing moments revealed that Darcy had actually got away with everything – again!

Glenn had been blackmailed into helping Darcy flee the village with Toby, after she’d threatened to tell Adam about his role in covering up Tracey’s death if he didn’t.

Darcy’s great escape brings an end to Aisling Jarrett-Gavin’s stint on the show. She’s played the villainous character since last year.
