Hollyoaks danger for Sienna and Esther shocks fans

Hollyoaks set up some serious danger for two characters tonight and fans were relishing the suspense.

Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) made a mysterious phone call asking to rendezvous with somebody, but while she was waiting at The Hutch, she was surprised to be greeted by a man she’d never met.

Newcomer Josh (Rupert Hill) soon revealed that he’s Ben Bradley’s son (Sienna’s ex-husband) and warned Sienna never to contact his dad again, as it would likely force him down a dark path.

But viewers thinking they’d caught Sienna’s stalker were left feeling disappointed when he denied the accusation and revealed that he is – in fact – a police officer.

And when he escorted Sienna back to her flat, he was quick to turn around and get her out again as they smelled gas.

Fans were rather excited to see Josh, especially as he’s played by former Coronation Street star Rupert (who portrayed Jamie Baldwin on the cobbles):

But many viewers questioned how Josh could be Ben’s son when the pair look pretty close in age:

Elsewhere, the Osborne family were horrified at the news that Jack (Jimmy McKenna) has gone ahead and married scheming Darcy Wilde (Aisling Jarrett-Gavin).

Nancy (Jessica Fox), Darren (Ashley Taylor Dawson) and Tom Cunningham (Ellis Hollins) decided to try and keep on side with Jack by throwing him and Darcy a wedding reception at The Dog.

Jack later announced the good news that he is well enough for a bypass after all – but Darcy wasn’t in the mood to celebrate.

On the contrary, she headed home to mix Jack a drink spiked with medication, but she had a last minute change of heart and took it away again.

But – in a surprise twist – an unsuspecting Esther Bloom (Jazmine Franks), heartbroken at being asked to leave by Jack, then downed the tainted whisky herself.

Viewers were feeling nothing but hate for Darcy and her awful behaviour, and were also revelling in her misery when she found out Jack’s news:

And there was horror all round when Esther downed that dodgy drink:

Hollyoaks airs every weekday at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look episodes at 7pm on E4.
