Hollyoaks reveals first look at Esther Bloom's tear-jerking exit from the village
Hollyoaks has revealed a first look at Esther Bloom’s final scenes in these brand new spoiler pictures.
Esther bows out in tonight’s E4 episode (April 27) after deciding to move to Spain with Ruby Button (Anna Shaffer).
Friday’s visit to the village starts off on a sour note when Esther’s grandfather Jack Osborne (Jimmy McKenna) realises that she was going to leave the village without saying goodbye to him.
With tensions still running high after the Darcy debacle, Esther claims that she no longer considers Jack as her family – prompting him to retaliate by declaring that he’d be happy to never see her again.
Later on, Darren steps in to make sure that Esther doesn’t leave under a cloud and manages to play peacemaker between her and Jack.
After Esther has an emotional heart-to-heart with Jack at The Bean, it’s time for her to go – but not before a final pit-stop at The Hutch to say goodbye to Nancy, Darren, Tom, Charlie and Oscar.
Esther’s loved ones are all dressed up as they wave her off – and it looks like there won’t be a dry eye in the house.
Digital Spy exclusively revealed Esther’s exit earlier this month. The popular character has been a regular fixture on our screens since 2011.
Jazmine Franks, who plays Esther, told us: “I’ve had such a wonderful time at Hollyoaks over the past eight years and have had the chance to work with the most amazing people, but my character no longer having Frankie around meant the time was just right for Esther to move on.
“I just want to say a massive thank you to the cast, crew and fans of the show for all of their support and I hope you follow me onto my next chapter.”
Hollyoaks airs Esther’s exit tonight (April 27) at 7pm on E4 and on Monday (April 30) at 6.30pm on Channel 4.
