I’m A Celeb viewers gush over topless Vernon Kay as he strips off for shower

I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! viewers were left open-mouthed as Vernon Kay was one of the first contestants to brave having a shower on the show.

The 46-year-old TV presenter wasted no time in stripping off after the 2020 series of the ITV show began on Sunday evening.

Due to the ongoing global pandemic, this year's I'm A Celeb is taking place in Wales instead of Australia – meaning it's a tad colder this year.

Vernon – who is married to Strictly Come Dancing host Tess Daly – wasn't alone when he went for a wash, as he was accompanied by his fellow campmate Jordan North.

Talking in the Telegraph, Jordan admitted: "That bathroom is awful, you have to get someone to pump water from the other side of the bathroom.

"It looks like the start of when they buy a house in Homes Under the Hammer but worse than that."

Jordan, 30, and Vernon laughed and joked as they pumped water for each other and showered.

"Pumping the water for Vernon was very satisfying, and the man’s in good shape.

"I think I’ve peaked already a couple of days in, I’ve showered Vernon Kay," the British DJ later joked.

"Tess if you’re watching, it’s not what it looks like!" Jordan added, before Vernon said: "That’s gotta be the most fun I’ve had in a shower in a long time."

Viewers tuning in at home admitted they were feeling a little flustered after witnessing a topless Vernon.

"Lockdown got that bad that im fancying Vernon Kay in the shower #ImACeleb (sic)," one person said.

Another tweeted: "I fancy Vernon Kay so much," while a third posted: "day 2 of #imacelebrity and I fancy vernon kay, help me."

A third viewer posted: "Not being funny but Vernon kay is so fit ?!?" while others joked about his height in the tiny shower.

The dad-of-two already seems to be a fan favourite and could end up being a strong contender to win this year's series.

I'm A Celebrity continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV.
