PARANORMAL EXPERT WARNS I'M A CELEB NOT TO BE 'DISRESPECTFUL' TO CASTLE GHOSTS

Paranormal investigator Paul Rowland gave the spooky warning after he stayed the night at Gwrych Castle in North Wales, the 200-year-old setting for the new series.

He told The Sun on Sunday: “One of my concerns is that if the producers are disrespectful to the spirits in their Bushtucker trials, with ghost themes, then they are at greater risk of coming to harm.

“I hope the production team isn’t disrespectful to the spirit world.”

One of the ghouls is a floating countess, there is an Eastern European refugee and a mystery male spirit who moans about being cold.

RUSSELL WATSON'S CLAUSTROPHOBIA STEMS FROM MRI SCANS

Russell Watson's biggest fear going into I'm A Celeb is claustrophobia, and it stems from his previous health scares.

“I’m really claustrophobic, but that is to do with my association from when I had the tumours and the association with MRI scans and as soon as I go in anything that is an enclosed space I start to panic – I didn’t use to before!” he revealed on Steph's Packed Lunch.

In September 2006 he was diagnosed with a developing pituitary adenoma, which was the size of two golf balls.

It was benign but had to be removed as it affected his eyesight and led to headaches.

After the surgery his mood swings became severe as the pituitary gland was affected, and he lost his ability to walk.

VERNON'S RING WORTH A WHOPPING £4,000 AND COULD WARD OFF BAD SPIRITS

Expert, Sarah Buck, from H&T pawnbrokers estimates that Vernon's horseshoe ring could be worth a hefty £4,000.

Vernon has previously commented on the romantic story behind the ring, which was bought for him by his wife Tess Daly.

Ms Buck said: “Looking at Vernon’s ring it’s clear he’s taken inspiration from Elvis Presley who’s original horseshoe 14k gold ring sold at auction for $18,000.

“Aside from sentimental value, horseshoe jewellery dates back to the middle ages and is worn to ward off bad spirits.

“A replication made from white gold, containing fourteen single-cut diamonds could have cost as much as £4,000. Although, as a Hatton Garden artisan created it, this could well increase the value.”

She told The Daily Drop's crew, Vick Hope, Roman Kemp, Olivia Attwood and AJ Oduduthe, she wanted him to do the traumatising challenges.

Wendy warned “there's going to be lots of vom involved” cheekily.

She said: “I can't even imagine. It's awful. I don't know whether to vote for him. I used all five votes on him to do it as his mother!”

SHANE RICHIE EXPLAINS HE JOINED I'M A CELEB BECAUSE OF FINANCIAL DIFFICULTIES

Shane Richie explained he signed up to I'm A Celeb to make up for his lost income.

Shane admitted to the Mirror that he “ploughed £700,000 into a movie” that only made just £2,272 in its first week of release, and has no savings.

While at the height of his success, Shane was earning £230,000 a year and was one of the best-paid soap stars, however, with many of his jobs having been cancelled he has experienced some serious financial difficulties.

He said: “I was going on tour, doing a TV series and panto but it all got cancelled in March. Now I am literally skint!

“You save for a rainy day but you don’t expect the rainy day to last eight months. Thankfully, I’ve been able to borrow money from mates, my family and the bank.”

RSPCA WARNING FOR I'M A CELEB CHALLENGES

The RSPCA has warned ITV it will be watching I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! to investigate and act upon any potential breaches of animal cruelty law.

It has expressed “serious concerns” about the welfare of the critters which are set to be used in the current series which premiered on Sunday.

The animal charity claims creepy crawlies have been “dropped, thrown, handled roughly, crushed, chased, overcrowded, scared by contestants and prevented from escaping from stressful experiences” in previous series in Australia, while some are “killed for no other purpose than entertainment”.

They say I'm A Celeb producers asked to meet them during the planning stages of this year's programme – which this year is being filmed in North Wales due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

But the charity says it was left “really disappointed” with the decision to continue using live bugs instead of “welfare-friendly alternatives”.

Vernon Kay was seen wearing a horseshoe ring on I'm a celebrity, which was gifted to him by wife Tess.

“The most romantic thing Tess has done for me was for our wedding anniversary,” Vernon told Now back in 2010.

“I'm a huge Elvis Presley fan and when he first signed his record deal he bought himself a pinky ring with a lucky horseshoe on it.

“I had a really bad fake copy of it from Graceland, but she took it to a Hatton Garden jeweller and had a white gold version made with real diamonds.”

The charity said it was “very pleased” when the show's production company got in touch during the planning stages.

“We spoke to them about changing the way they use animals along with the change of continent – perhaps introducing welfare-friendly alternatives to animal use in the trials,” a statement said.

“However, we were really disappointed to be told that they would continue to be using animals in this way during this series.

“We'll be watching the programme and will flag up any concerns we have to the producers.”

    MO FARAH GETS HALAL ALTERNATIVES

Olympic hero Sir Mo Farah will get special halal meals while in the I’m A Celebrity castle.

But he will be taking part in eating trials — which usually involve eating creepy-crawlies — as Muslim rules do not ban it.
