I’m A Celebrity unveils new campmates Russell Watson and Ruthie Henshall

I'm A Celebrity 2020 may have only been on our screens for three nights but two new campmates are set to make an explosive arrival during Wednesday's episode.

Hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly have confirmed that opera singer Russell Watson and West End sensation Ruthie Henshall are set to join the gruelling ITV reality series.

Former Chicago leading lady and one time Dancing on Ice judge Ruthie is reportedly getting £75,000 for her stint on the show.

An insider claimed Ruthie is a particularly exciting signing for I’m A Celebrity as viewers will want to see if she divulges any gossip on her relationship with Prince Edward.

Speaking on Desert Island Discs in 2008 about the relationship, she said: "It always made me laugh, I’d sort of say ‘I’m going to my boyfriend’s tonight’. Nobody knew who he was.

"It was very exciting, but I genuinely fell in love with him.

“I think I had hopes that we could walk on in our relationship but really and truthfully I think I was very aware that I wouldn’t be able to do what I do for a living if I’d have stayed with him.

"And there was nothing, at that stage, that was more important than what I did."

Russell is thought to be receiving a £100,000 fee to appear on the new series.

He is celebrating 20 years in showbiz this year. The star stepped out of the spotlight for a while, following a near-fatal brain tumour in 2007.

There are already 10 famous faces currently living in the creepy Gwrych Castle in North Wales.

They are Strictly star AJ Pritchard, EastEnders icon Shane Ritchie, BBC Radio 1 DJ Jordan North, Corrie legend Beverley Callard and Olympian Sir Mo Farah.

Telly favourite Vernon Kay, Paralympian Hollie Arnold MBE, EastEnders beauty Jessica Plummer, Broadcaster Victoria Derbyshire and Podcaster Giovanna Fletcher.

Ant and Dec went into the castle at the end of Tuesday's episode to inform the group of famous faces that they will all be taking part in the next trial.

However, in a shock twist, it will be Russel and Ruthie taking on the trial Stage Fright during Wednesday's episode.
