TWO terrifying I'm A Celebrity challenges have been revealed as prison cells in towers and a huge platform on the edge of a quarry have been built.

The reality show returns to screens in less than two weeks' time and preparations are well under way.

Latest pictures from the Gwrych Castle site in Wales show two menacing gothic towers with iron bars at each level.

A scaffolding rig is nearby and the whole thing looks like it'll be a nightmare for anyone with a fear of heights.

While the platform at the remote Alexandra Quarry near Penyffridd looks even more ominous as it juts out over a massive drop below.

ITV's flagship reality show will welcome a new line-up of stars into Gwrych Castle in Wales on Sunday, 21 November.

The show, which has been forced to abandon its Australian base for a second year running due to Covid rules, is returning with a bumper line-up.

Coronation Street's Simon Gregson, 47, will go head-to-head with EastEnders soap rival Adam Woodyatt, 53, in camp.

They will be joined in the castle in Abergele by TV favourite Richard Madeley, 65, who has signed a £200,000 deal.

Other stars include Loose Women's Frankie Bridge, 32, who is following her footballer husband Wayne's footsteps.

Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Phillips, 78, will become the oldest ever contestant.

Campmates are in quarantine for a fortnight before the show — hosted once again by Ant, 45, and Dec, 46.

Insiders said it would stop the show descending into chaos like Strictly, which became embroiled in a row over vaccinations.

Last year’s show, which was held outside of the jungle camp for the first time, became the second most watched series since its launch in 2002.

The forthcoming series has been much-trailed on ITV for weeks.
