I'm a Celebrity's Noel Edmonds steps down as Emperor and faces grisly Bushtucker Trial
Ah, to have tasted power and have it cruelly snatched away…
The campmates discovered that Noel Edmonds was to step down as Emperor, a title he had only managed to hold on to for a day, on tonight’s (November 23) I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
Noel was catapulted to power after his heavily-rumoured late arrival into the jungle yesterday, and had started to enjoy his privileged position, which included first dibs on food and treats and exemption from camp chores.
Yet his reign was to come to an abrupt end, as Dec and Holly told the camp at the end of the show that not only was Nick being deposed as Emperor, but he would have to complete a Bushtucker Trial with his Advisor, Harry Redknapp.
Just to rub it in, the trial was aptly named Nero to Zero.
Needless to say, neither Noel or Harry looked particularly pleased about this latest revelation.
On I’m a Celebrity… Extra Camp, the grisly details of Noel and Harry’s Bushtucker Trial were unveiled.
It’s a classic eating trial. The first part will see Harry and Noel holding some creepy critters in their mouths, before they have to eat some unwholesome delicacies in the second part.
Sheep’s brains are on the menu, and in a particularly unpleasant climax, the campmates will have to squeeze the juice from raw fish eyes into a cup before downing its contents. Yikes!
Elsewhere on the show, a beautiful bromance began to blossom between Harry and Noel. Harry woke at 5am with crippling cramp, prompting Noel to come to the rescue and give him at foot massage in his underwear.
Hopefully their special connection will help them stomach tomorrow’s creepy crawlies together.
I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here continues on Saturday (November 24) at 9pm on ITV, and is followed immediately by Extra Camp on ITV2.
