Inside Lucy Mecklenburgh's incredible second home after huge makeover project
LUCY Mecklenburgh has offered fans a glimpse of her incredible second home following a huge makeover project this year.
The former TOWIE star, 29, shared snaps of her luxury pad on an Instagram account dedicated solely towards showing off her renovation projects.
Clearly an immensely skilled interior decorator, Lucy has created an amazing space that could act as a second home for her, fiance Ryan Thomas and their baby Roman – though for now she intends it to be a buy-to-let.
Lucy has another house in Essex, while Ryan has a place in Manchester. The couple split their time between Manchester and Essex.
The reality star's latest renovation project featured a luxurious kitchen-lounge, with a large L-shaped grey sofa, sheepskin throws and tastefully abstract paintings on the wall.
The room is flooded with natural light, while all features are chosen to fit a well-considered cream and aquamarine colour scheme.
At the other end of the room is a fully equipped modern kitchen, featuring luxury amenities including a wine fridge, induction hob and a breakfast bar with cushioned high-backed stalls.
Lucy shared before and after snaps for a number of rooms, revealing how much design and construction work had gone in to make her dream apartment a reality.
The mother-of-one also showed off a luxury dressing room in the apartment, which features ample storage room and plush pink velvet furnishings.
A large lit mirror stands above an elegant black dressing table, while beautiful white orchid plants are placed across nearly every available surface.
Lucy decorated the walls with a series of beguiling line-drawn portraits, while the comfortable setting is completed with crisp white walls and a comfy white carpet.
The appartment's master bedroom continues the pink and white theme, with a huge white double bed and textured pink velvet cushions placed on top.
Behind the headboard are found more still-life portraits, this time of the whole human form.
To the side of the bed is a large bedside lamp with an elegant transparent base, while at the other end of the room lies a sturdy buttoned armchair and a fluffy pink grass ornament.
Lucy also shared images of her stunning bathroom.
The spacious room is decked out in marble and rectangular white tiles.
Bathroom fittings are of an unusual matt gold design, while the room appeared to boast a powerful shower and large bath.
Sharing a 'before' image, Lucy revealed just how much work would have had to have been done to transform what once had just been a concrete shell.
Sharing all these images on Instagram, she captioned one picture: "Maybe I’m crazy taking on a renovation project with a newborn but I’m soooo happy with how it has turned out!!
Elsewhere she added: "I couldn’t be happier with how it’s turned out!"
Lucy gave birth to her baby Roman back in March of this year.
Lucy has been open about how "mentally and physically tough" her pregnancy had been as she tried every trick in the book to get her little boy out.
The 28-year-old shared how she felt sick and fatigued in her first trimester, but then didn't expect to feel so fed up towards the end.
Lucy then revealed she'd "worked through the list" of tricks to induce labour including eating different food from curries to pineapples, sage oil bats to a birthing ball.
The model even hit the gym to try and get things moving.
Lucy has been engaged to former Coronation Street actor Ryan Thomas since June 2019.
She eventually decided to "relax and let nature take its course as it’s so disheartening when nothing happens".
The pair have been together since 2017 after competing on Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls.
While it is Lucy's first baby, Ryan has a daughter with former partner and Corrie co-star Tina O'Brien.".
