Jennifer Aniston arrives at Jimmy Kimmel's home for his son's birthday party – and narrowly misses ex Justin Theroux
The Friends actress, 49, reportedly timed her arrival so that she just missed her former flame, according to Us Weekly.
The publication also claimed that Jen – who has been wearing a mysterious arm brace for weeks – looked "a bit nervous" at the party, while Justin seemed "totally normal".
A source told the site: “Billy’s first birthday party was at the Kimmels' Hollywood Hills home on Saturday. Jennifer got there around 12:15 p.m. PT. She arrived with a girlfriend and was wearing the hand brace on her left hand."
“As she arrived to Jimmy’s house, Justin was seen leaving."
They continued: “Justin spent about 40 minutes at the party. Jennifer left around 2 p.m. PT. Justin was in and out and acted totally normal. Jen did look a bit nervous. They didn’t see each other."
Jennifer was pictured making her way into the bash with her female pal on Saturday afternoon, rocking a simple khaki vest top and jeans combination.
The Hollywood actress also appeared to keep her make-up to a minimum behind her stylish aviator shades.
Contrary to their separate appearances, Jennifer and Justin insisted they remained "best friends" when they announced their split in a joint statement in February.
They said: "In an effort to reduce any further speculation, we have decided to announce our separation. This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year.
“We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship.”
Despite Justin's short visit to the party, The Leftovers actor later shared some snaps from the party on Instagram, as well as a sweet message for the birthday boy.
He wrote: "Happy ONE year birthday Billy! A boy who in 365 days has done more for American national health care than we could all wish to do in our lifetimes.
"He doesn’t even know yet how courageous he is. An honor to know him and his incredible and equally courageous parents. ❤ Thank you @CedarsSinai & @ChildrensLA #registertovote."
Billy – who chat show host Jimmy shares with wife Molly McNearney – has undergone multiple surgeries for congenital heart defects, and even had open heart surgery when he was just three days old.
Giving a special thanks to the hospital staff who saved his son's life on Saturday, Jimmy write: "A yr ago today, God gave us this tough little boy. Today, we thank the nurses & doctors at @CedarsSinai & @ChildrensLA who saved his life & those who shared thoughts & prayers.
"We cannot stay quiet. Please wish Billy happy birthday by REGISTERING TO VOTE! vote.gov."
