Katie Price building special ‘Royal room’ in Mucky Mansion designed by terminally ill mum to ‘remember her’

KATIE Price’s terminally mum Amy is designing a special room in the Mucky Mansion, so she can always be remembered.

The 43-year-old is currently renovating her dilapidated Sussex home after years of neglect and disasters including a fire and break-ins for a Channel 4 series – and it seems all the family are getting involved.

Amy, 63, who has a life-limiting lung condition called idopathic pulmonary fibrosis, has left her stamp on the property in what has been dubbed the ‘royal room’.

A source told The Sun: "Amy's style is very tropical – parrot print on the wall, palm trees – a lot of pink and green – and while filming was going on, she was worried how Katie would react when she saw it!

“Everyone's calling it the 'royal room' – Amy's putting her own spin on the design and it'll be a special tribute room to Amy so Katie always has a memory of her in the house."

Katie's mother was diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis – an incurable disease of the lungs – in 2017.

The illness causes scarring to the lungs which reduces the sufferer's ability to breathe. There is currently no cure.

In her book Harvey and Me, the former glamour girl admitted she's come to terms with the diagnosis and is planning for her mother's funeral.

She wrote: "I've accepted it now because I have to. She has an incurable disease and that's just the reality of it.

"I know it sounds awful, but once we knew the prognosis, I even spoke to my mum about her funeral and what she wants for it.

"I think it's much easier to organise a funeral if you know what they want."

The mum-of-five also recently said she will be marrying her fiance Carl in the UK so her mum can be there.
