Kerry Katona blames Kieran Hayler for best friend Katie Price's problems and begs fans to 'lay off her' as she enters rehab
The 38-year-old says people should give her best friend a break as she enters rehab to get help for post-traumatic stress disorder.
Katie turned for help after drink and drug binges led her family to confront the Loose Women star.
The final straw came when she was filmed drunkenly cavorting with two German men in Majorca and rapping: “I love coke.”
In an interview with New Magazine, Kerry begged fans to "get off her back" as she sent her support to Katie.
Kerry said: "What annoys me about what's going on with Katie is that everyone's jumping on the bandwagon.
"No one is looking at the underlying problem and the root cause and the core of why her life is the way it is at the moment.
"Yeah Kieran is a great daddy, but think about why she's where she is right now.
"Obviously she's reached out for help, but everyone should get off her back."
Katie is in the midst of divorcing her third husband Kieran after he cheated on her with other women throughout their marriage.
No stranger to tough times, Kerry will likely be someone Katie turns to for support during her darkest days.
But the mum-of-four insisted she won't be "one of those people" who jumps on the bandwagon when things go wrong in a celebrity's life by talking about her publicly.
Instead she vowed to have a heart to heart with Katie about her issues, in private.
Things have been looking up for Kerry recently after she announced she's in a relationship with Ryan Mahoney.
The ex-Atomic Kitten singer's new boyfriend is a hunky fitness trainer who she met on Bumble.
Lat month they were spotted kissing passionately on a family day trip to Brighton.
