Late-Night Comedians Evaluate Doctor's Claim Trump Dictated His 'Extraordinary' Health Report

And the diagnosis is…Trump is definitely a “dictator.”

When it first came out in 2015, there were doubts that Donald Trump’s doctor had actually written the letter claiming he would be "the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency." Now it turns out Trump may have written it himself, which the late-night hosts can totally see.

It was not only a ridiculously lofty claim to come from a medical professional, but it was the kind of superlative that Trump himself would use. Now, it turns out that may have been exactly what happened, as Dr. Harold Bornstein is claiming the then-future president dictated the letter to him.

While there are potential serious ramifications for this latest revelation to rock the White House, the late-night comedians couldn’t help but poke fun at the story. Bornstein also lamented that Trump’s people had "raided" his office and taken the president’s medical records, which he feels was to hide the fact he prescribed Propecia to Trump for hair growth.

"Late Show with Stephen Colbert"

Stephen Colbert latched onto that boastful line of the letter that certainly sounded like Trump wrote it, reading it with his Trump voice. "His physical strength and stamina are extraordinary. If elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency." Once he heard it that way, he was even more convinced these were Trump’s words.

"I guess that explains these others doctors notes, like the one from Trump’s dentist: ‘Most teeth ever. Much longer tongue than Obama.’ And his podiatrist: ‘Feet of a god, unless there’s a draft, in which case bone spurs. Sad!’"

What perhaps surprised him the most was Bornstein’s claim to CNN that there were things Trump wanted him to put in the letter that he refused. After all, he was okay with calling him the "healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency."

Again slipping into his Trump impression, Colbert imagined Trump telling Bornstein, "Say I’m 6’7", I weigh 180 pounds of rock hard muscles, my nipples can cut glass, my blood is liquid gold, my sperm is a registered weapon and my penis is so manly that it has its own penis. And that penis is spectacular."

"The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon"

Jimmy Fallon leaned on his Trump impression as well, saying, "Yes I dictated it and I am one of the healthiest dictaters ever elected."

Fallon went on to point out that "in the letter, Trump said that his physical strength is extraordinary. Then he used two hands to drink a tiny glass of water."

"Jimmy Kimmel Live"

Jimmy Kimmel made the joke that Fallon just left hanging there when he said, "Bornstein says now the president dictated the letter directly to him. So he is a dictator!"

He then invited Dr. Bornstein on the show in the form of Mike Myers in a really bad, shaggy wig and beard. He looked remarkably like the disheveled doctor. Unfortunately, this Bornstein wasn’t too much help, as he kept trying to offer Kimmel "boner pills," though he did reveal that the president may or may not have syphilis.

"Late Night with Seth Meyers"

Over on "Late Night," Seth Meyers noted Bornstein’s detail that it wasn’t just medical files that Trump’s team were taking from his office. They also forced him to take down a picture in his waiting room of him with the president. "In fairness, that might have just been a business tip," Meyers joked.

After watching the footage of Bornstein talking about the raid and his theory as to why they came for the records, Meyers noted, "I might believe Trump didn’t use Propecia if the doctor who allegedly gave it to him didn’t have the exact same hair."

But his concern was genuine over the fact that "the only two people who told us Trump was healthy are a guy who had to withdraw his nomination and Fraggle Doc." So what is the true status of Trump’s health? Is he fit to run the country, phyiscally or mentally? It turns out we may not know at all.
