Little Mix celebrate as they finally land No1 with Sweet Melody – after Perrie Edwards accidentally leaks news early

LITTLE Mix's Perrie Edwards leaked the news that the band's single Sweet Melody had hit No1.

The bungling 27-year-old announced the news on Instagram – long before it was due to be officially revealed on BBC Radio 1.

She posted a shot of some roses on Instagram, with the song playing in the background and the words: "No1 Babyyyyy 😍."

However, she quickly deleted the post after realising the news was not supposed to be out yet.

The achievement takes the band's number of UK No1s to five – after 2011's Cannonball, 2012's Wings, 2015's Black Magic and Shout Out To My Ex in 2016.
