Loose Womens biggest feuds – wedding snub, instant dislike and Sairas digs
The Loose Women panel have been known to get into many heated debates on their popular daytime show, over world issues, personal disagreements and clashing opinions.
The current panellists are often switched out but currently on the panel are Kaye Adams, Ruth Langsford, Christine Lampard Charlene White, Nadia Sawalha, Karren Brady, Linda Robson, Charlene White, Coleen Nolan, Brenda Edwards, Jane Moore, Janet Street-Porter, Denise Welsh, Gloria Hunniford, Pennie Lancaster, Carol McGiffin Sunetra Sarker, Stacy Solomon, Katie Piper, Frankie Bridge and many more.
Starting in 1999, Nadia Sawalha and Kaye Adams were the first presenters of the chat show.
They have all clashed at some point and articulately shared their own views, but which are ones to remember?
Judi Love's Strictly deception
Judi Love is taking part in this year's Strictly Come Dancing, but she hid it so well from her co-stars that Nadia Sawalha can no longer trust her.
Whilst watching Judi’s big reveal, the panel all giggled as she tricked them into believing Linda Robson was dancing in the show.
Judi cackled as the women relieved her deceptive red herring.
Kaye Adams praised Judi, saying: "Well apparently Strictly said that's the best reveal that they have ever seen."
Nadia said she could no longer trust Judi though after her deception, saying: "She has done such a good job of acting, that I don't believe anything she says anymore!"
"Someone give me an acting job!" laughed Judi.
Kaye prodded Judi trying to get more info: "Give us something! Tell us anything
Judi paused: "All I can give you is we've done some pictures and so on and so on… I'm excited"
"Do you know your partner?" asked Kaye as Judi squirmed saying no.
Kaye didn't believe her either: "Look at me! Look at me and say you don't know."
"They're all amazing, as you can see on screen we've got countdowns…" said Judi, changing the subject.
Kaye wasn't having it: "Look down that camera…. what camera should Judi look into? And say "I do not know who my partner is", go on"
Judi looked into the lens and slowly but not very convincingly said "I do not know who my future partner is."
Judi, 40, was partnered with Graziano Di Prima.
Saira criticising the panel
Saira Khan quit Loose Women earlier this year, after saying the show was ‘toxic’ for her, and that she was not friends with her co-stars.
The TV personality, 51, first appeared on our screens in 2005 on The Apprentice and ten years later was on Loose Women.
Before she left, Saira wrote in her column for the Mirror that the pandemic “certainly made me assess my priorities, values and how I want to move forward with my life"
Co-star Andrea McClean also announced she was leaving the show in late 2020.
Talking on Instagram live with Scott McGlynn, host of Celebrity Skin Talk, about the Loose Women panel, Saira said: “You make friends with some people, you tolerate some people, and some people you just have to do the job with.”
She deflected when grilled on names, replying: "I'm not going to go into the nitty-gritty there now. There are some friends, people I will be close to because we get each other.
"And there are some I really don't miss at all, who I was just like, 'I just have to tolerate you to do the job.'"
Saira went on: "You have to be professional about it. You can't pretend that everyone is going to be your best friend. Especially on a show with different opinions, you're not going to tolerate everybody's opinion.
"That's fine. That's not a problem, just do it with respect and you have to be open-minded."
She added: "Sometimes I'd go in with an opinion and someone would say something different to me and I'd think "Do you know what I never saw it from that point of view!"
Asked about diversity on the panel, a subject Saira had previously mentioned, she said: "We need LGBTQ representation on daytime.
"Where you are sharing your life stories and you are helping to shape people's opinions and giving them education helping them to broaden their minds it's absolutely fundamental to have someone from that community on a show that can help shape that."
She shared her thoughts on Instagram: "I’d love my @loosewomen seat to be given to either a gay, transgender or non binary person – that will help the show to be more reflective of the world we live in."
Speaking to new! magazine, Saira called on some of the other panelists to quit because their "time was up".
"I actually think there are other women on that show who have had their time and they need to renew and refresh," she said.
"I don't mean anyone in particular, to keep that show fresh and relevant you have to look around and you know when your time is up."
In a recent interview, Saira confirmed that she is not speaking to some of her former co-stars.
Linda Robson and Christine Lampard remain two close friends – as do Coleen Nolan and Ruth Langsford, she told OK!
"Out of everyone, they're the people I'd invite round to my home and the ones I've got a relationship with," she said.
"There were some women that I just thought, 'I've got to just tolerate you to do the job and in real life, you wouldn't be my friend.'
"They'd say the same about me."
Saira politely did not name those she didn't stay in touch with.
Carol and Andrea
Carol McGiffin's nose was put out of joint when co-star Andrea McLean didn't give her an invite to her wedding, despite inviting many of their co-stars.
She hit out in her Best magazine column, writing: "I'm ecstatic for them both, even though I wasn't invited to the wedding."
Carol added: "Andrea's managed to squeeze in two weddings in less time than I've been engaged to Mark, which is a bit embarrassing, to say the least."
However, the pair have since built bridges and even joked about the snub on the show.
Nadia and Kaye
Nadia Sawalha. and Kaye Adams may be the closest of pals now, but they started off not liking each other at all.
Back in the day, the pair were both left fuming when they found out they would be working together, and the pair revealed their instant dislike for each other on the show.
Whilst discussing judging someone on first impressions, Kaye said: "My god you're a great example, couldn't stand you when I first saw you."
Nadia replied: "I know. We couldn't stand each other."
She added: "When I got the job I said, 'What, every day with her!?
"And then we ended up being the best of friends, and how wrong we would have been."
