Love Island Davide and Jacques secretly knew each other before ‘meeting’ on show

Love Island bombshells Davide Sanclimenti and Jacques O'Neill already knew each other before going on the ITV2 show.

Some old messages between the two have come to light after eagle-eyed fans did some digging on their social media accounts.

An Instagram conversation between the two contestants has been doing the rounds on social media leaving fans very confused.

Though the messages do not prove that the two lads are good pals, it certainly shows that they knew each other before heading into the villa, at least in the online world.

Rugby player Jacques, who played for Castleford Tigers before the show, commented on a picture of the Italian business owner in January 2021.

This makes it 73 weeks ago, which was before the last series even began.

Davide shared a snap of him working out with a pal on his Instagram and Jacques commented underneath.

He joked: "You boys need to start training."

Davide responded: "More gym and less parties I guess."

To which Jacques cheekily quipped: "More gym keep the amount of parties the same."

When fans found the online interaction, speculation began to soar, with one writing: "HOLD ON NOW."

Another said: "They know each other."

While a third penned: "So are Jacques and Davide ever going to mention they both know each other before going on the show?"

This comes after former Love Island star Kem Cetinay opened up about getting "awkward semis" on the Love Island: Morning After podcast.

The host starred in series three of the show and now presents the official Love Island podcast.

On Saturday's podcast (June 18), Kem chatted to Sian Welby and Lewys Ball about the night before's antics.

During Friday's challenge, the girls got all dolled up in mermaid bikinis and put on a raunchy show for the boys.

However, unfortunately for Dami, the lads pointed out that he had a "semi" after his partner Amber's sexy dance moves.

Talking about the mishap, Kem said: "It's awkward enough when you get it and there are a few people in the room but when there's the whole world watching it.

"It's a little more awkward, but you've got to brave it haven't you? You've got to laugh and keep it moving."
