Love Island Paige almost left villa with Jacques before finding love with Adam

Love Island star Paige Thorne has said that it 'crossed her mind' to leave with ex beau Jacques earlier in the series.

In last nights (31 July) episode fans saw Paige and her partner Adam Collard get the boot from the Island in a brutal dumping ahead of tonight's final.

However her time in the infamous villa could have been cut short if she had decided to leave with Jacques O'Neil when he made the shocking decision to quit earlier this month.

Paramedic Paige and rugby player Jacques had been going strong but Jacques head was turned at Casa Amour throwing their relationship into turmoil.

Thing started to get back on track for the couple just as Adam Collard entered the villa causing more drama for the pair.

Jacques ultimately decided to leave the villa and Paige chose to stay and crack on with the Geordie hunk.

And in her exit chat, Paige described her time on the dating show as "a rollercoaster of emotions" but refused to say she was disappointed to leave the show so close to the final.

When asked if she had considered leaving at the same time she said: "It did cross my mind a little bit to leave with him, but things hadn’t been 100% all the way through, and the fact that they weren’t was what made me think.

"The fact that I stayed and I gave 100% to the experience and found something new and something more suited towards me just goes to show that everything happens for a reason."

It could be a tricky journey for Paige and Adam though after yesterdays episode when her mum told her that she 'didn't buy' her relationship.

As the trio sat down together, Paige excitedly asked: "So, what do you think of Adam?"

As her mother looked her in the eyes, there was a heated silence between the two before she sheepishly whispered: "I'm not buying it."

She added: "The way you are with Jacques it was a completely different you, you were a lot more you, and bouncy and full of life and personality.

"With Adam it just seems a lot different than with Jacques."

It was at this point that Paige explained her decision to match up with Adam and how he made her feel during their time together.

The brunette beauty explained: "Yeah he did bring out a different side in me like bubbly and laughing and all that but there was some bits that really were not okay.

"With Adam, he's just so much more chilled out and down to earth and everything else that we literally just got on since day one."
