Love Island’s Jacques O’Neill makes heartfelt plea ahead of show’s big finale | The Sun

LOVE Island star Jacques O'Neill has made a heartfelt plea to fans of the show ahead of its big finale episode next week.

The reality TV favourite – who left the villa earlier this month for mental health reasons – urged viewers at home to "be kind".


Jacques, 23, made the decision to walk away from Love Island two weeks ago after "struggling" with his emotions away from home.

The star has since made it his mission to try and stamp out hate that the Islanders face on social media while in Majorca.

Yesterday, the professional rugby star took to social media to continue to encourage fans to be nice in the wake of the finalof the ITV2 dating show next Monday.

He penned to his fans across his platforms: "Monday is the best day of the week because no matter how bad last week was for you.

"It means you can start fresh and have a better week than you did the previous. Set little goals and try your best to achieve them!

"Also, please can we all remember to be KIND this last week. Don’t forget the islanders have to come out of that villa and face it all.

"Let’s try to be as positive as we can for them getting out!"

His fans and friends chimed in below his message with hearts and messages of support as they praised him for protecting his co-stars.

It comes after Jacques revealed he was in a "better place mentally" as he shared a male suicide warning on social media.

He told The Sun he wanted to "work on himself" after being branded a “bully” and a “gaslighter”.

Jacques was coupled up with Paige Thorne, 24, on the show, but the pair weren't to last and she's since moved on with Adam Collard, 26.

Jacques shared his mans mental health warning on his Instagram, reposting a quote from English MMA star Paddy Pimblett that read: "There's a stigma in this world that men can't talk.

"Listen, if you're a man you've got weight on your shoulders and you think that the only way you can solve it is by kissing yourself please speak to someone."

Jacques commented beneath it: "Facts right there!" followed by a 100 per cent emoji.

The rugby star's message came after he told his followers he's "in a better place" after leaving the Love Island villa.

Sharing a photo of himself, he wrote: "I just want you all to know that I’m in such a better place mentally.
