Lucifer season 5, part 2: When will Eve return in Lucifer?

Lucifer faces new challenge as Eve returns in season four

Inbar Lavi joined the cast of Lucifer for the show’s fourth season. She soon became a fan favourite with fans falling in love with her and Maze’s (played by Lesley-Ann Brandt) relationship. Lavi confirmed she was returning to the show for the fifth series but when will she return as Eve? has everything you need to know.

When will Eve return in Lucifer?

In February 2020, Lucifer fans received the news they had been waiting for.

Inbar Lavi, who played Eve in season four of the series, would be returning to Lucifer for the show’s fifth outing.

However, Eve was noticeably absent from the first eight episodes of Lucifer and fans watched on as Maze struggled to come to terms with the loss of Eve.

At the end of season four, Eve left LA to focus on herself and go on her own journey.

Sadly, this meant leaving Maze behind, who had begun to serious feelings for her.

Fans took to Twitter to share their disappointment at Eve’s absence.

One Lucifer fan tweeted: “tomorrow I’m gonna spend my whole day complaining that eve is not on the first part of lucifer season 5.”

A second fan said: “so you’re telling me I’ve signed up to watch 8 episodes of Lucifer season 5 with NO EVE? WHY? WHAT WAS THE REASON?”

A third fan added: “okay so I’ve just started Lucifer season 5 & I just wanna know if eve & maze actually get together this season? I honestly don’t care about spoilers, someone pls just tell me if they do.”

Unfortunately, the exact episode Inbar Lavi will return in has not yet been confirmed, but fans are hoping it will be early on in the second half of part two.

The end of Lucifer season five, part one ended on a huge cliffhanger, with God (Dennis Haysbert) arriving on Earth to put an end to his son’s fighting.

The first episode of part two is titled Family Dinner and will most likely see all of the celestial beings on Earth try to make peace with each other.

If this is the case, Eve would not be a stranger at that sort of dinner party, considering she is the original sinner.

At the end of Lucifer season five, part one, Maze decided to side with Lucifer’s (Tom Ellis) evil twin brother Michael, abandoning Lucifer and her loyalties on Earth.

There is a huge possibility Maze could return to hell in part two, whilst Eve remains on Earth, potentially searching for Maze.

Eve could also venture down to hell to be with Maze or bring her back to Earth.

Fans will have to wait until part two of Lucifer arrives to find out.

Inbar Lavi who plays Eve recently reposted a video on Twitter made by a Lucifer fan who captioned clips of her as Eve “I miss this precious dork.”

Lavi replied: “Me too.” Alongside a smiley face and love heart emoji.

Ahead of Lavi’s return to the role, Lucifer showrunners Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson told Entertainment Weekly in a statement: “We are so excited to have Inbar back!

“Last we saw her, Eve broke Maze’s heart. Soooo… a reunion between our favourite demon and the original sinner should go smoothly, right?” will update this article when more information about Lavi’s return to the series is available.
