Luke dies in Hollyoaks' heartbreaking Christmas scenes?

Luke Morgan’s (Gary Lucy) condition progresses in upcoming Hollyoaks scenes, leaving Cindy Cunningham (Stephanie Waring) concerned that he could die before next Christmas.

Luke, as viewers know, was diagnosed with Frontotemporal dementia, FTD, two years ago.

Overtime, his behaviour has changed, and recent scenes have seen him act impulsively and show zero signs of remorse for his actions, which is a symptom of the condition.

Cindy, meanwhile, has been by Luke’s side every step of the way, and the duo are planning on tying the knot as some point next year.

But before that, celebrations are underway for Christmas, as previewed in the Channel 4 soap’s new Winter Trailer, and Cindy is intent on making this festive season a memorable one.

Heartbreak, however, will ensue, as Luke’s behaviour continues to change, prompting Cindy to tell him that she’s ‘already lost’ him.

‘My Luke is gone!’, she screams.

Luke, however, records a video message for his fiancee, in which he tells her how much he loves her, and reminds her that – no matter what he may or may not say or do due to his illness – it’s not really him, and he loves her.

‘Luke is in there somewhere,’ she says, ‘we just need to bring him back’.

‘I just want to give Luke the best Christmas of his life, because this may be his last’.

Will Cindy’s fears worst fears come true?
