Madonna's daughter Lourdes Leon reveals multi-millionaire mum worth £700m refuses to give kids 'handouts'

MADONNA’s daughter Lourdes has revealed her mum has refused to give her any handouts – despite being worth £700milion.

In a candid interview, the 25- year-old, who’s dad is dancer Carlos Leon, described her mother as a “control freak” as she explained why she is self sufficient.

Chatting to actress Debi Mazar for Interview magazine, she revealed:  “My mom is such a control freak, and she has controlled me my whole life.

“I needed to be completely independent from her as soon as I graduated high school.”

Lourdes has proved she can stand on her own two feet already and has paid her own way through college and for her own apartment.

She continued: “We don’t get any handouts in my family. Obviously, I grew up with extreme privilege. There’s no denying that.

“I think my mom saw all these other kids of famous people, and she was like, ‘My kids are not going to be like this.’”

Lourdes went on to reveal how her very famous mum has encouraged her to be known for more than just her looks, but admits she hasn’t inherited her mum’s work ethic.

Lourdes is Madonna’s oldest child – she is also mum to Rocco Ritchie, 21, David Banda, 16, Mercy James, 15, and twins Estere and Stelle Ciccone, nine.

As well as her illustrious singing career, Madonna has made her millions from her clothing and perfume ranges, as well as from owning a part of streaming service Tidal.

Madonna is also very property savvy and owns an impressive art collection, which includes Dali and Picasso pieces.
