How many Avengers: Infinity War post-credits scenes are there?

The post-credits and mid-credits scenes have been an essential part of Marvel’s films since the beginning, teasing what would come next in their ongoing story or just shooting straight for laughs.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 raised the stakes with five of these ‘stingers’, so will the long-awaited Avengers: Infinity War go even bigger when it lands this week?

(Warning: This article contains a minor spoiler for Avengers: Infinity War)

The movie premiered last night (Monday, April 23) in Los Angeles, and the reports coming out of it are that there’s just one solitary post-credits scene.

The mystery scene comes right at the very end of the credits, so we’re afraid you’re going to have to sit through the long list of post-production companies that provided CGI for the two-and-a-half-hour-long movie.

Sometimes preview screenings hold back some of the post-credits scenes that will feature in the final release. But the fact that the scene that viewers did see came right at the end – and there were apparently no odd gaps in the credits themselves – implies that this will indeed be the only extra scene.

Ahead of the release, a series of Infinity War clips have debuted, including Captain America, Black Widow and Falcon fighting the Black Order, Shuri totally owning Bruce Banner and War Machine totally owning Bruce Banner. Poor Bruce.

Avengers: Infinity War will be released on April 26 in the UK and April 27 in the US. Book tickets now.
