Mel B ‘took 200 pills in an attempt to kill herself’ new book will reveal

The Spice Girl's suicide attempts are revealed in her new book entitled Brutally Honest, and it will claim she first tried to end it all aged 14.

The 43-year-old star lived in Leeds and studied performing arts at Intake High School when she made her first cry for help.

Her last suicide attempt was in 2014 when she was 39 years old and a judge on The X Factor.

Mel B, whose real name is Melanie Brown, was married to Stephen Belafonte at the time.

According to radaronline.com, Brutally Honest describes how stared at her reflection in a bathroom mirror as she put each pill on her tongue and swallowed.

She was rushed to hospital and had her stomach pumped, before returning to work on The X Factor "days later".

Mel and Stephen, 43, are now locked in a bitter custody battle over their daughter Madison, who turned seven years old this week.

Stephen has claimed that she didn’t call the little girl on her birthday.

He made the allegation after Mel’s legal team said the she planned a birthday party for the little girl.

But Belafonte's lawyer, Grace Jamra, said the singer failed to even phone last Saturday.

She said via conference call : "Your honour, she did not even call her on her birthday."

At Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday, Judge Mark Juhas said Mel must drug and booze testing for four months as part of the joint custody agreement.

Mel B has also been ordered to undergo random drug and alcohol testing.

In explosive papers, obtained by Sun Online, her former nanny Rusty Updegraff claims he saw the star “use cocaine pretty regularly” and how she would always ask her to obtain the class A drug for her – even when he was looking after her kids Angel, 11, and Madison, seven.

And Simon Cowell offered his support amid her ongoing court battle with former husband.
