New To Netflix This Week: Horror, Mysteries That Remain Unsolved, And Animated Tales
It’s a brand-new week, and that means there is new content coming to Netflix, the streaming service giant. This week offers a new installment of an original series that Netflix resurrected from the dead, as well as a few other cool offerings.
If you enjoy your mysteries to be unsolved, then you’ll be pleased as punch that Unsolved Mysteries: Volume 2 arrives on Monday. The Netflix original series picks up the NBC/CBS/Lifetime/Spike TV series which was about cases that were never solved. While the original series had two things really going for it–Robert Stack hosting and an over-reliance of leaning into paranormal stories–the Netflix version of the series is heavier on the true crime side of things, as that form of storytelling has gained a lot of traction over the years. Unsolved Mysteries: Volume 2 delves into stories from outside of the US, and you can see a new clip for the season below.
Considering it’s the season of spooky haunts and eating way too much sugar, you might be interested in the new movie Cadaver, which seems pretty bizarre and fitting for the season. It follows a group of people set to go to a charitable event in a mansion–in the aftermath of a nuclear disaster where people are starving. During the party, people are disappearing, and the party-goers are trying to figure out why. You can see the trailer for Cadaver here. Cadaver arrives on Thursday.
Finally, if you are looking for something a bit more lighthearted, check out Over The Moon, which lands on Friday. The film follows a girl that wants to build a rocket to the moon in order to prove the existence of the Moon Goddess. The movie is directed by Glen Keane, who has worked on classic animated movies like Beauty and the Beast, Tangled, Tarzan, The Little Mermaid, and more. Check out the trailer here.
