WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Queen of the South.

Peter Gadiot began his journey on Queen of the South as Camila’s right-hand man.

As he got to know Teresa, he slowly turned against Camila and stopped working for the Vargas Cartel.

This was so he could help and protect Teresa which he has done throughout, even when he made his temporary exit in season four.

Thankfully, Gadiot wasn’t written out of the show for good and is expected to continue working alongside Teresa, assisting in building her drug empire.

How tall is Queen of the South star Peter Gadiot?

Even though Gadiot has an American accent as James Valdez, the 34-year-old actor is actually British.

He spent most of his childhood in the UK and learned the tricks of the trade at the Drama Centre London.

Gadiot is also Dutch on his father’s side, Mexican on his mother’s and speaks fluent Spanish.

According to Celeb Heights, Gadiot’s agent says his client is 5ft 11in or 180cm.

In comparison to his co-star Alice Braga who plays Teresa, Gadiot is towering above her.

Celeb Heights says Braga is around 5ft 2in tall but in previous interviews, the actress has said otherwise.

In an interview with Collider, she said: “I’m a small girl. I’m 5ft 4in.”

But when she spoke to Bloody Disgusting, she said: “I look at myself, and I’m like, I am like 5ft 2in or 5ft 3in.”

Queen of the South may be his biggest role to date but he has been in other series and films.

He portrayed Cyprus in ABC’s Once Upon A Time in Wonderland for around a year before making appearances in shows like Matador and Supergirl.

Gadiot’s other projects have included Night Wolf, The Forbidden Girl and Channel 4 comedy Fresh Meat.

The actor will be returning to Queen of the South full-time when season five does premiere.

James left at the end of series three to work with the CIA’s Devon Finch (Jamie Hector).

This was so he could protect Teresa from afar, giving the CIA information and keeping an eye on who they were investigating.

In the final moments of series four, James arrived with a bloodied shirt and a warning.

According to James, someone is out to get Teresa but who could it be?

Queen of the South is available to watch on Netflix.
