Shirley Ballas, 58, is 'happier than ever' with toyboy Daniel Taylor, 44, after they met in panto
SHIRLEY Ballas has revealed that she is "happier than ever" with toyboy Daniel Taylor after meeting in panto.
The 58-year-old Strictly Come Dancing star also revealed that Daniel, 44, had no idea who she was when they appeared in a Jack and the Beanstalk production together.
Speaking to The Mirror, Shirley explained: "It’s hard to find somebody who’s compatible with you. I feel like I’ve come full circle and I’ve found somebody.
"It’s great to have found him after being single for so long. When we did our first job together he was like 'Shirley who?'
"He’d never watched Strictly, knew nothing about me. It’s been a warm experience."
Shirley went on to poignantly add: "Somebody once said to me, are you happy? I said what is happy? All I can say now is if this is what happiness is I’ve never experienced it."
The Sun Online exclusively revealed that Shirley was dating Daniel in January 2019 after they met during panto rehearsals over Christmas.
She has introduced him to her family, including her 32-year-old dancer son Mark, who she shares with ex-husband Corky Ballas.
Shirley previously told The Sun Online that she "would love" for Mark to replace her co-star Darcey Bussell on the Strictly Come Dancing judging panel.
Darcey announced that she was leaving the BBC One show after the last series.
Discussing the possibility of her son joining the programme, Shirley told us: "My son would love it and I would love a mother and son dynamic on the panel…
"I know our new executive producer has some brilliant ideas and I think you'll be really enthralled."
She added: "I think they go up a notch every year and I think this year you'll be quite surprised… I embrace change, I think change is always good."
Shirley currently serves as Head Judge alongside Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel-Horwood.
