Southern Charm Reunion: Kathryn Dennis Insists She Did Not 'Make Up' Rumor About Cameran Eubanks' Marriage

Cameran Eubanks may not have been on this season of Southern Charm, but that didn't stop her name from coming up at the reunion.

During part one of the reunion on Thursday night, Kathryn Dennis denied that her decision to circulate the rumor that Cameran's husband, Jason Wemberly, had an affair had anything to do with Cameran's decision to leave the show after six seasons.

"I want to clear this up," Kathryn, 29, said. "She made the decision not to return to the show before anything happened with rumors and anything like that."

Both Cameran and Rebecca Wash, the Charleston makeup artist who was alleged to have had an affair with Jason, have adamantly denied the infidelity allegations.

Without revealing the source of the rumor, Kathryn made it clear that she did not "make up" the allegations against Jason.

"I did not make up this rumor," she said. "I didn't sit at home and twiddle my thumbs and come up with a rumor."

Kathryn went on to claim that both Craig Conover and Shep Rose had heard the rumor long before she brought it up on camera.

"Even though I know there's no truth to this Cameran rumor, at all, Kathryn did not make the rumor," Craig confirmed.

While the entire cast all insisted that the rumor had nothing to do with Cameran's decision to leave, they admitted that they didn't know the real reason why she chose not to return.

"She liked being a part of the group, but I think she just bowed out," said Shep.

"I think she's upset she didn't do [the show]," added Craig. "She hates that she didn't do it, in my opinion."

After announcing her exit, Craig and Leva Bonaparte said Cameran, 37, stopped talking to them.

"We've talked once in the last three months and it was an 'I love you and I hate that we can't talk anymore' type of vibe," said Craig. "We used to talk every day."

Cameran announced her plans to leave Southern Charm in May. At the time, she said her departure had "nothing to do with ridiculous and fake rumors about my marriage," and that the claim was simply a "ploy for ratings."

"Drama is needed to stay relevant on reality television and sadly false rumors about others are sometimes created," she said on Instagram. "Make of that what you will and consider the source."

Cameran had been a leading player on Southern Charm since it premiered back in March 2014, even providing the show's voice-over narration throughout the episodes.

Southern Charm airs Thursdays (9 p.m. ET) on Bravo.
