Spoilers: Sylver arrested for Breda's murder in Hollyoaks 25th anniversary twist

Sylver McQueen (David Tag) finds himself being taken away in handcuffs in Hollyoaks, as he’s arrested for murder of Breda (Moya Brady).

Viewers will remember that villainous Breda met her demise back in January during a late-night special, when Sylver drove the serial killer’s own knitting needles through her skull!

Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe) and Goldie (Chelsee Healey) kept shtum after Breda’s body perished in the fire, but Sylver’s actions come back to haunt him next week.

The highly-anticipated 25th anniversary week is upon us, and with the McQueens having been targeted in a sinister revenge plot which kicked off the previous week, the clan in question make a shocking discovery.

Yes, every single McQueen is being blackmailed, and Nana (Diane Langton) summons them all to The Dog, where they come face-to-face with a macabre doll, which sits atop the bar.

The doll reads out the seven deadly sins for each of the McQueens, before revealing that if they don’t pay for said sins, then each of their biggest secrets will be revealed — resulting in them all being sent to prison!

Bit creepy, eh!

The first of those sins is ‘wrath’, and as the family attempt to work out who it belongs to, Sylver soon puts two and two together, believing that ‘wrath’ is referring to him having killed Breda.

Sensing how desperately Sylver doesn’t want to go back to prison, Mercedes begs James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan) for cash to pay off the blackmailer — calling it compsenation for attempting to kill her last year.

James complies and Sylver is delighted — all the more so when the money is transferred — as he believes that he’s been saved.

However, consequences ensue, as PC George Kiss (Callum Kerr) rocks up, and arrests Sylver for Breda’s murder!

Will he be sent to prison?
