Spoilers: Yasmeen saves Asha in Corrie as Corey bullies her like Geoff

Life back in Coronation Street for Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) has been a challenge so far. She’s living with Alya (Sair Khan) but her paranoia that Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew) is round the corner to terrorise her once more is proving difficult to manage.

With Yasmeen re-adjusting to normal life, she is set to find herself in a situation soon where she recognises herself in young Asha (Tanisha Gorey).

After Nina (Mollie Gallagher) gives Asha a choker necklace for her birthday, Corey (Maximus Evans) tells her it would be better suited on dog, so Asha takes it off.

With Corey gone, Yasmeen tentatively suggests to Asha that she shouldn’t be spoken to like that. Asha hides her emotions.

Later, when Corey sees Asha wearing the necklace again, he orders her to remove it, asserting it’s the end of their relationship if she doesn’t comply. With Yasmeen’s words in Asha’s mind, she stands her ground and Corey goes, leaving Asha hiding her upset once more.

It appears Yasmeen may be finding her feet again, but will helping Asha become a regular thing if Corey continues to control her?
