'The Bachelorette': COVID-19 Recently Caused 1 of Tayshia Adam's Front Runners to Crash His Car
Last night, Tayshia Adams’ journey to find love on The Bachelorette finally began. After months of rumors of her being Clare Crawley’s replacement, she is finally on the way to finding the one for her. Last night, she met all of the remaining members of Crawley’s suitors and also got a surprise when four new guys came on the show. Now, one of them is dealing with a bad case of coronavirus (COVID-19).
Peter on ‘The Bachelorette’
On last night’s episode, just as Adams was getting to know all of Crawley’s men, host Chris Harrison dramatically pulled up to tell her that things were about to change. Then, one by one, four men got out of the limo to meet her. Spencer, Montel, Peter, and Noah all joined the rest of the men in the competition.
Spencer stood out early on and earned the first impression rose and ruffled more than a few feathers. The rest of the new men, including Peter, made good impressions on Adams and made her hopeful for the rest of the season.
What happened to Peter?
Though Peter is vying for Adams’ heart on tv. In real life, filming wrapped in September and the real estate adviser is now struggling with COVID-19.
“The past 24 hours have truly been some of the hardest in my life,” he captioned a picture of himself in bed with an injured nose on Instagram. “Yesterday I tested positive for Covid and have begun two week quarantine. I am going through a lot of emotions at the moment with so many thoughts in my head as to how this happened.”
Peter said that he had been feeling bad for a couple of days but never imagined that he would come down with coronavirus.
“I felt lousy for a few days but didn’t believe I would contract the virus when I have been wearing a mask in public, washing and sanitizing hands regularly, and following social distancing protocol during work,” he said. “This is an example no matter who we are or what we do, we are all vulnerable.”
But the news of testing postive wasn’t the only bad thing that happened to the Bachelorette star that day.
“As if the positive news wasn’t bad enough, while driving home from the clinic my anxiety started to get the best of me,” he wrote. “As a result of the anxiety, I lost consciousness behind the wheel and my car went off road through a guard rail and hit a pole. The air bag deployed, driver side door was wedged in, broken glass everywhere, and I was 5ft away from smashing into a building. All I remember was waking up to people shouting for help, as I was in a deep daze and confusion. I didn’t know where I was, how I got there, or what happened.”
He revealed that he did not sustain any major injuries from the crash and only has a small cut on his nose from the incident.
Though he is doing well, Peter wants to urge everyone to take COVID seriously.
“Covid is something we all need to face head on and stay positive during these times,” he wrote. “We can’t run away from it nor pretend it does not exist. It creates immense anxiety as a result of me losing consciousness behind the wheel.”
He closed his post by urging people to come together to support one another and promised that he would fight the virus.
