The Chase: Jenny Ryan silenced as ‘confident’ player slaps down The Vixen’s warning

The Chase: Anne Hegerty quips she won’t take player ‘home’

Jenny, 38, was on hand to try and knock out four new contestants on The Chase, doing everything in her power to make sure her opponents didn’t get a share of the jackpot prize. Although she completed her mission with player number one, by the time it got the last ITV quiz show participant, The Vixen had let two contestants fall through her fingers. With two team members in the Final Chase, the general knowledge guru issued her fourth adversary a warning but she was soon silenced when they hit back.

Sara joined host Bradley Walsh, 60, to complete her cash-builder round before taking on the Chaser, hoping to add to the £11,000 jackpot which had been started by her teammates.

The contestant managed to accumulate £4,000 and although this wasn’t the biggest total of the day, the presenter branded her a “confident” contestant.

Jenny then returned to the studio where she offered her latest opponent a higher and lower amount of money she could play for.

Turning to her fellow players, Sara asked them whether she should take the minus £2,000 or battle for £64,000.

After hearing all verdicts, the quizzing amateur decided to stay with her original total and she was sure she was going to make it back for Final Chase.

Before the head-to-head began, The Vixen commented that her opponent was not going to get as far as she was hoping to.

After issuing the warning she was going to beat Sara, the contestant hit back as she told the quizmaster there was no doubt in her mind she would prove her wrong, snapping: “I will get back.”

Jenny looked rather taken aback at the player’s short and sharp reply, with Bradley starting the round as the Chaser had nothing more to add.
