This Morning fans demand Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford get own show after axe

This Morning fans have demanded that bosses give Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford their own show after axe.

Yesterday The Mirror reported that the married presenting duo, who have hosted the show on Friday's and during school holidays since 2006, have been dropped by the channel amid a diversity shake-up.

It's left many ITV viewers raging and demanding that the pair be given their own TV show after 14 years of "loyal" service to This Morning.

They are reportedly being replaced by the show's roving reporter Alison Hammond and X Factor's host Dermot O'Leary which has received a mixed reaction from fans.

Some fans have even taken to their personal Twitter accounts to voice that they will boycott the show if the claims prove to be true.

One tweeted: "Ruth and Eamonn will be offered their own show I’m sure."

A second wrote: "Morning Eamonn, if the story is true about This Morning dropping you & Ruth. May I just say it’s disgusting by them and I hope you two get your own show. Think a This Morning boycott is due."

Another said: "Nothing against her personally but I find Alison Hammond so loud and brash I won’t be watching ….Eamonn and Ruth should have their own show love their banter and they are a breath of fresh air."

One upset fan tweeted: "Tell me its not true, don't know if I'm angry or upset, no offence @AlisonHammond and @radioleary I like you guys and you've done a great job, but Ruth and eamonn your like a comfort blanket. You're just going to have to start your own show."

"Well I certainly won’t be watching when Allison’s on. Poor Eamonn and Ruth, i love them presenting too! They should have their own show! Xx," voiced another.

Addressing the recent reports, ITV are said to have shut down speculation they're leaving the programme.

A spokesperson for This Morning told Metro.co.uk: "We have a stellar presenting line up on This Morning in Holly and Phillip and Eamonn and Ruth.

"Any additions to this line up will be announced in due course."

Here's hoping the pair stay or are offered another show!

This Morning continues tomorrow at 10.30am.
