This was Tayshia Adams’ one hesitation about joining The Bachelorette
Bachelor Nation’s Tayshia Adams jumped in on Season 16 of The Bachelorette after Clare Crawley found love with Dale Moss. While Chris Harrison says it every season, Season 16 might truly be the most dramatic season yet and fans are living for it. In fact, Tayshia is quickly becoming a favorite. It’s no wonder that she’s winning over Bachelor Nation left and right, as she’s filling her role as Bachelorette with grace and humor. She radiates confidence and seems to be totally comfortable in her skin in spite of the unexpected circumstances. (Side note: Reality Steve has dropped some spoilers for how Tayshia’s season ends.)
All that being said, it’s hasn’t been all roses and cocktail parties for the leading lady. In addition to having to deal with rumors about her ex, there was one thing Tayshia wished Clare had told her before leaving. Given the complicated circumstances, it’s understandable that Tayshia was hesitant about accepting the gig for one major reason.
Tayshia wondered if the guys had already fallen in love
Tayshia Adams opened up about hesitations she had before taking over for Clare Crawley as the Bachelorette. On Nov. 9, 2020, Tayshia spoke to Us Weekly and said that unlike Clare, she didn’t Google her group of suitors. “I didn’t really have the chance to look at them before. And I’m glad I didn’t, to be honest,” Tayshia said.
Tayshia was worried about joining a group of guys who had originally come for Clare. “Naturally, that’s a hesitation you have,” Tayshia admitted to Us Weekly. “The guys knew that it was going to be Clare, and I didn’t know if they were going to be accepting or if they were willing to open their hearts,” Tayshia said. “If they had fallen in love, like, I didn’t know what was going on. So, it was definitely a hesitation.”
As E! News pointed out, Tayshia met 16 men who had previously been on set with Clare, but there were four new arrivals, so at least Tayshia wasn’t the only newbie in the house!
