Tim Metcalfe’s worrying illness revealed on Corrie
Tim Metcalfe's family is left fearing the worst as he becomes very ill on Coronation Street tonight.
The cab driver, played by Joe Duttine, takes indigestion tablets to soothe the pain, but Gina is horrified when she sees the state he is in.
After making him go home, Tim continues to ignore the pain in his chest and arm.
Sally later realises something is seriously wrong and calls for an ambulance.
So what could be wrong with Tim?
Considering his symptoms, it appears that Tim might have suffered a heart attack.
A pain in the arm and chest are usually warning signs for a heart attack or angina.
The British Heart Foundation have highlighted the most common symptoms, which include: pain or discomfort in your chest; pain spreading to the left or right arm, or to the neck, jaw, back or stomach; and sickness, sweatiness, light-headiness or shortness of breath.
The charity suggests that if anyone thinks that they or someone they know is having a heart attack, 999 should be called immediately. They also insist that even if you are not sure, it is still important to seek medical help.
On their website, they explain: "A heart attack is when one of the coronary arteries becomes blocked. The heart muscle is robbed of its vital blood supply and, if left untreated, will begin to die because it is not getting enough oxygen."
Following Tim's hospital visit this evening, he returns home and Sally insists on him healthy eating from now on.
But Tim isn't so keen and ends up searching the house for chocolate while she is out.
Later, Sally and Gina are left shocked when they see him tucking into a bacon sarnie!
Will Sally be able to change Tim's lifestyle?
