Tom Holland Makes an Embarrassing ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ Blunder

Tom Holland made an embarrassing blunder as he confused drag racing with “RuPaul’s Drag Race” show. During an interview on Britain’s Absolute Radio, the “Spider-Man: Homecoming” star was discussing the upcoming “Avengers: Infinity War” movie with co-star Benedict Cumberbatch when they were quizzed on which of their superhero friends they would call on if they needed help.

While Tom chose “Thor” star Chris Hemsworth to help him remove a body from the boot of a car, Benedict was quick to name Scarlett Johansson, a.k.a. Black Widow, for help. Presenter Dave Berry then asked who of their male-co-stars would win RuPaul‘s drag queen contest, Tom Hiddleston, Bradley Cooper or Robert Downey Jr.

“I think Downey would win a drag race because he’s got the fastest cars,” Tom answered, clearly confusing drag queens with drag racing. “No, RuPaul, man. Get with the programme!” Benedict explained to the youngster. “RuPaul’s like the greatest drag queen of all time!”

“Oh! I don’t know what that is! Sorry!” the red-faced Spider-Man star laughed. Benedict then named Hiddleston as the one who would win the drag queen reality series, and joked, “Definitely Tom Hiddleston. She can dress up pretty mighty fine.”

Despite all of the Avengers appearing in the movie, only a handful got to film their scenes together, including Benedict’s Doctor Strange and Tom as Spider-Man.

When asked which Avenger they would love to have appeared on-screen with, Tom was quick to reveal he was after his character to have a fight scene with the Incredible Hulk, played by Mark Ruffalo. “There’s a comic that happens in, and it’s a really, really funny story and it’s really cool. And I get on really well with Mark, he’s a really lovely guy. He’s someone I’d really like to work with in the future,” he enthused.
