Where Full House stars are now – prison, drug abuse and whopping £365m net worth

Full House was one of TV’s greatest sitcoms from 1987 to 1995.

The show never failed to entertain viewers with the antics of the three little girls, DJ, Stephanie and Michelle Tanner and their guardians Danny Tanner, Joey Gladstone and Jesse Katsopolis.

The show was so beloved and nostalgic it even spawned its own spinoff in 2016, Fuller House which lasted five years.

In the show, DJ is the widowed mother of three sons and finds herself back in her childhood home alongside her sister Stephanie and her lifelong friend Kimmy Gibbler mirroring the original show.

We take a look back at the stars of the original show and look how far they’ve come.

Candace Cameron Bure

Candace played oldest child, DJ Tanner on both Full House and its reboot Fuller House

After her Full House days ended, Candace carried on acting starring in almost 30 Hallmark films and appeared on Dancing with the Stars in which she placed third.

She was also a co-host on the View in 2015 and 2016.

Cameron Bure has been married to former ice hockey player Valeri Buri since 1996 and they have three children, daughter Natasha and sons Lev and Maksim.

Jodie Sweetin

Jodie played Stephanie, the middle sister and chattiest of the family.

Her role thrust her into the limelight at the early age of five and she struggled with her fame as a result.

Jodie revealed that she began drinking when Full House ended at just 14 years old, which soon led to substance abuse and rehab.

She went on to release a book in 2009 titled unSweetined: A Memoir, in which she detailed her experience as a recovering addict.

Jodie has since starred in the reboot Fuller House and competed on season 22 of Dancing with the Stars.

She has been married three times over the years and has two children called Beatrix and Zoie.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen

The world’s most famous twins shared the role of Michelle Tanner from when they were only babies.

After Full House ended the sisters could be seen everywhere with their own range of books, fragrances, magazines, TV shows and movies including It Takes Two and New York Minute.

However, they then decided to retire from acting all together and work on building a fashion empire, with brands The Row, Elizabeth and James, Olsenboye, StyleMint and more.

The pair are reportedly worth a whopping $250million each (£365m) after their huge fashion success, while their little sister Elizabeth also rose to stardom in the Marvel Avengers films.

The two were the only original cast members who did not reprise their roles in Fuller House.

Mary-Kate also famously married Olivier Sarkozy, the brother of the French president, but they soon split after five years in May 2020.

Ashley was dating a financier Richard Sachs, but the couple reportedly split in March 2017.

John Stamos

John played heartthrob and Elvis fan Jesse Katsopolis on the show.

Following Full House the star appeared on shows like "ER," "Glee," "Necessary Roughness," "Grandfathered," and "Scream Queens.

He also played therapist Dr Nicky on the hit thriller series You on Netflix, and is currently starring on Disney+’s Big Shot.

Though he married model Rebecca Romijn while on the show, they divorced 10 years later.

John welcomed his first child, a son named Billy, with Caitlin McHugh in April 2018 and they tied the knot in February 2019.

Bob Saget

Bob played the widowed patriarch of the family, Danny Tanner.

He continued hosting America’s Funniest Home Videos after show ended until 1997 and went on to become a Grammy-nominated comedian for his stand-up special That's What I'm Talkin' About.

You might also recognise Bob as the narrator and voice of future Ted Mosby on How I Met Your Mother.

He also continued to act, appearing in shows like Raising Dad , Entourage , Surviving Suburbia , Strange Days etc.

Bob wrote a book in 2014 called Dirty Daddy: The Chronicles of a Family Man Turned Filthy Comedian.

He has been married to Kelly Rizzo since 2018 and has three daughters, Aubrey, Lara, and Jennifer.

Dave Coulier

Dave played stand up comic and Danny’s best friend Joey Gladstone, who never failed to cheer everyone up with his spot-on impressions.

Before and after Full House, Dave voiced characters on TV shows like Robot Chicken and Teen Titans.

The actor has also guest-starred on shows like How I Met Your Mother and Dollface and hosted America’s Funniest People.

Currently, Dave is a private pilot who owns and flies his own plane.

In August 2021, the street Dave grew up on in Michigan was named after him.

He has been married to photographer and producer Melissa Bring since 2014 and has a son named Luc from his past marriage to Jayne Modean.

Lori Loughlin

Lori Loughlin played the role of Aunt Becky in Full House, the love interest of Jesse Katsopolis.

After Full House ended, she starred in the short-lived show Summerland and played Debbie Wilson on the hit show 90210, as well as reprising her role as Rebecca on Fuller House.

However in recent years Lori made headlines for her alleged involvement in the college admission scandal.

The actress and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli were accused of paying the scheme’s ringleader $500,000 to get their daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose, admissions into the University of Southern California, by passing them off as rowers.

They both pled guilty to a federal charge of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud and Lori served two months in federal prison while her husband served five.

Andrea Barber

Andrea played next-door neighbour and the occasionally annoying Kimmy Gibbler on the hit show.

She took break from acting after the show ended, only reappearing on screens in 2016 when she starred in the reboot.

During an interview with People, the actress said that she wasn't fond of the entertainment business and the "unpredictability of the profession," which is why she took a break.

Outside of acting, Andrea also became an author and published her book, Full Circle: From Hollywood to Real Life and Back Again in 2019.

She has two children, Tate James and Felicity Ruth, with ex-husband Jeremy Rytky.
